Schedule a visit from the Bubbler
With mobility built into the program design, Teen Bubbler workshops can pop up at targeted sites around the city and it just takes a quick message to start the conversation.
Schedule a visit to the Bubbler
Madison's Central Library houses two hubs for creativity in the Media Lab and Bubbler Room, and you can bet all 9 neighborhood libraries provide an array of hands-on pop-up workshops.
- MEDIA LAB: The Media Lab on the 1st Floor of Central Library is a free space to explore digital media production in the realms of stop motion animation, 3D world design, green screen video, audio design and graphic design. View a list of hardware or software available and check out the Media Lab webpage for open hours and staff expertise.
- BUBBLER ROOM: Madison Public Library's rotating Artist In Residence sets up shop each month in the Bubbler Room on the Ground Floor of Central Library using the space as their studio and gallery, free and open to the public for questions, insight, and workshops.
Be a Presenter
Our continuous efforts to connect with a diverse base of community presenters is what keeps the experiences current and dynamic, and is what allows the library to focus on the access points of underserved teenagers, especially those who may not identify as learners. Teen Services staff enjoy working with presenters to ensure a fun and dynamic hands-on workshop, whether that be a quick overview for the seasoned teacher or several meetups to develop a meaningful entry point into the art or skill you are passionate about. Help us add your project to the creations that other presenters have provided Madison teenagers.
